DIY make up brush pot

Hey guys!

So I've been looking for a pot for my make up brushes for so so long and I could never find one. It has been so much harder than I thought to find a pretty pot so I decided to make my own, it was going to be temporary until I found one but I actually really quite like it!

So this isn't really that much DIY, but that's a good thing right?! So easy, simple and cheap to do! I took an empty pasta sauce jar, took the label off and put it in the dishwasher to clean it all up and help get the glue off from the label. I then scraped off the softened glue with a scrapy thing which looks like an ice scraper but is for cleaning cooking trays and things! I bought a metre of this pretty ribbon from a local art shop for 90p, cut it to size, tied it in a bow round the jar and voila! That is it :)

This literally took me about ten minutes to scrape off the glue and tie the ribbon round and only cost 90p and I really love it, it looks so much better than anything I could have bought from the shops! The only annoying thing as you can see is that the jar is a bit too tall for my brushes, i'm hoping to find some pink sand or something pretty to put in the bottom of the jar which hopefully would be cheap to buy too :)

So I hope you like my mini DIY and hope you've all had a good week :)
