Nice things #1

Hellloo!

So I thought i'd start something a bit different on my little blog, I always find myself scrolling through literally hundreds of pictures on the internet on places such as weheartit, tumblr, pinterest and even google and I really enjoy it. I just love seeing nice pictures and good photography and I know a lot of you fellow bloggers do too so I thought I would share with you every week some of my favourite finds!

This would be amazing!

I love this playsuit, so pretty.
I don't know where this is, but i'm going to Thorpe Park on Tuesday and i'm so excited. The sky looks gorgeous in this!
Oooooh yummy, i'm way too obsessed with oreos.
I love my converse, beige with studs is so perfect!
How cool would it be to live here?!
I miss being able to do my nails, these are gorgeous.

Obviously I had to include a puddy tat, sooo freakin' adorable!
I would be in heaven if this was my car!
I hope you enjoyed this post, I'm looking forward to doing the next one already!

Evening girls! (and boys maybe!)

These past few weeks or so I've bought a few bits so thought I would share them with you! This is also going to mark the start of my spending ban! Apart from essentials I am going to try my absolute best not to spend money on clothes and lipsticks and more things I don't strictly need.. I need to save up for car insurance and I also want a laptop and to go travelling so I need to get saving my pennies! You are free to tell me off if you see any such spending on here or twitter!

Both shorts Primark - I think I paid about £26 for both

Both Primark - £5 each I love these, perfect fit, lovely colours and so easy to throw on in summer, I want more!

Both h&m £7.99 each - These are really simple but I liked the fit of them, the left one is actually really bright almost fluorescent pink

The outcome of my hair dye, I only dye my roots now not the whole hair. I use the lightest colour but my hair still goes slightly orange but my purple shampoo sorts it out after a couple of washes, up until then I shall be hating my hair! I should probably get it done professionally but ugh, so much money.

And last but not least, worlds worst nail art. I'm not allowed to have my nails painted for work but I had two days off and was a bit bored so I went for pastels. I decided to try a flower on my little nail (yes it is a flower) which didn't work out all too well.. How I once managed to do a perfect nandos chicken for a staff event, yet I can't do a simple flower is quite beyond me. Next time I will stick to plain colours!

Hope you enjoyed this haul and wish me luck for my spending ban! Also please follow me via Bloglovin here

Summer FOTD

Good evening! How lovely has the weather been these past few days, I so hope it stays nice and continues to get warmer! Although it has made me do a bit of shopping when I should be saving...

I've just been working but i've been wearing this make up which is a very natural kind of glowy summer look. I say natural, but I do have my Estee Lauder double-wear foundation on.. I wanted flawless skin but still very natural so I just used my Naked 2 palette to add a little bit of colour to my eyes, a slick of mascara and my new favourite Dainty Doll blusher which I will be posting about soon! I just have a Cocoa butter lip balm on but I actually love wearing it, it has no colour but just makes my lips look moisturised and nicer.

Please excuse my absolutely terrible roots! I will be dying them hopefully tomorrow, I have the day off so i'm hoping mr sunshine comes out :)

What's your favourite spring/summer make up product?

Gooey white chocolate cookies

If you read my last post you'll know I made the yummiest cookies on my day off! So I thought I would share the recipe with you, it's just one I found on BBC good food but it's the best one I've tried!

125g softened butter
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g self raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
200g chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
2. Soften butter and cream in both sugars
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract
4. Sift in flour and mix in along with salt
5. Add chocolate chips
6. Roll into balls and slightly flatten
7. Bake for 7-10 minutes depending on your oven and how gooey you want them!

It's really quick and simple but it makes super yummy cookies, they are very sweet so you need to have a sweet tooth for these! I took mine out of the oven when they were still soft and not fully cooked so that they were all gooey inside but you can always leave them till they're more golden! I know this isn't quite my usual beauty post but hey these were too delicious not to share with you :)

Casper the pig

Goood evening! So today i've had the day off work and I had a driving lesson (yes i'm still learning, worlds worst driver) and then I went for lunch with my dad. This is just a simple outfit I threw on in my morning rush but thought I would share with you! Excuse the bad pictures and mirror shot, wherever I stood I had bad lighting and I just couldn't get a good picture, hence the weird ring pictures.. Also wondering why I got my belly out when 1. it is cold and 2. I went for a carvery...

Top and jewellery - Primark
Disco leggings - Republic
Converse - Schuh

My make up is very simple and natural, again due to me rushing about in the morning! Today I had to embarce my natural paleness, I have no fake tan on what so ever so out came my Estee Lauder foundation in THE palest shade possible. (I usually wear a darker one) Yep, casper the ghost right here. Can you just see the colour of my arms in the very first picture, it is actually ridiculous! Anyway, I added a bit of colour with my favourite GOSH bronzing pearls and a Revlon blush, neutral colours from my Naked 2 palette, a few slicks of mascara and my Mac lipstick in 'please me'.

When I got home I made the most yummy cookies ever, taking them out of the oven JUST as we had a powercut. Thank you power cable god for letting my cookies bake first, I appreciate it lots. I then spent an hour playing 'I spy' with my little sister till the power came back on... I'm going to do a post on my cookies because I just have to share them with you! On the subject of food, I'm about to have chinese takeaway. Carvery, cookies and chinese takeaway in one day. I am going to be morbidly obese and my summer holiday pictures are going to be atrocious but hey a girl can treat herself once in a while :)

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

The Urban Decay Naked palettes are one of THE biggest holy grail products in the beauty world. I am pretty sure 90% of beauty bloggers own a Naked palette. The first palette is probably more popular than this one but for me I felt these colours would suit me a lot better so I popped this on my Christmas list and I was lucky enough to unwrap it Christmas morning, yay!

I have used this every day without fail since I got it, it is my ultimate go-to beauty product. I have all the colours I need in one place which is perfect when I don't want to be wasting time in the morning. The actual eyeshadows are really good quality and as you can see from the pictures, really pigmented. They stay on all day and I don't need to worry about topping it up, unless i'm off out and want a more dramatic look!

My most used colours are Foxy, Bootycall and Snakebite. I used Foxy for a base colour usually mixed with Bootycall to give it a bit of shimmer. Bootycall is great to put in the corner of your eye for a bit of brightness. Snakebite is my perfect crease colour, when I saw it in the pan I wasn't too drawn in by it but after trying it I use it all the time. These three together has been my everyday eye make up for the past couple of weeks however I have a tendency to add in a bit of YDK to the mix! I have used all of the colours except for Blackout and have loved all of them except for Tease. I find this just a bit boring and blegh, like I dunno it just doesn't do a lot for me. However I do love all the colours in this palette!

I think the £36 price tag is pretty good considering you get 12 high quality eyeshadows in lovely colours which work well with each other, all in one place. I don't use the mirror and it still has the plastic on it but it's a great size if you were to take this out and about with you. It has a double-ended brush which I do actually use every time I use this palette, one end for the crease and the other for blending. It also came with a mini lipgloss which is actually quite nice and a nice little touch!

Do you have this palette? What are your favourite colours?

What I wore: outfit and face

Hey girls! How nice is it to see the sun out! It's making me so excited for summer and my holiday and pub gardens and such lovely fun things. It's also making me want to go shopping for pretty summer dresses.. Although it will probably snow or thunderstorm tomorrow!

It's my best friends birthday tomorrow so we went on a night out last night with the giirrrls and I had such a fun night. If you read my recent haul post you will have seen this playsuit which I absolutely fell in love with and here it is in action. I wore studded black flats as my knees do not do heels well anymore, booo. I'm just glad I don't need the height, as you can see i'm the same height as my small little friends with their heels on hehehe. The playsuit was a bargainous £10 from Primark and my shoes are also Primark, I think they're 6 or 8 pounds. I'm now realising how much Primark I wore as all my jewellery was also from there.. However I did take a coral clutch bag from New Look.

I won't list every product on my face but I'm wearing Estee Lauder double-wear foundation, Bobbi Brown gel liner and Mac lipstick in 'Impassioned' which I love love love so much. This is only the second time i've worn it but it is just my perfect colour and I wish I could wear it all the time!

I'm now going to go and munch on a chocolate butterfly cake courtesy of my mum and little sister, yummmmy :)

March favourites

So this is the first monthly favourites i've ever done, mainly because by the time I get round to sorting it out it's the next month.. I've got a day off work today so I have the perfect opportunity to get this done!

My first favourite product is my MAC lipstick in impassioned. You may have seen this in my recent post when I first got it and I was so excited about it, now I've actually used it and I absolutely love it! The formula is 'amplified creme' and it is so lovely, really creamy and also has great staying power. The main reason I love it is the colour, it's a bright pink with blue undertones, but not tooo bright or neony at all! The perfect girly colour for nights out! I will be wearing this tomorrow night!

Mac impassioned

Another product I posted about recently is the Garnier BB cream. I have been wearing this to work every day since I bought it and I love it as an everyday product. It just adds a bit of colour and makes my skin look better whilst still looking natural. Perfect to give my skin a break when i'm not doing anything special!

Garnier BB cream

A fairly recent purchase is the Collection lasting perfection concealer. The whole blogging world has this concealer and I can't believe i've only just got round to buying it! I've wanted it for a while and have no idea why it's never made it's way into my shopping basket.. But one day it did and I am very glad! I love this as an under eye concealer as I find it really brightens up the area and makes me look less tired. Such good quality for the price!

Collection lasting perfection concealer - under eyes. Also Mac impassioned

The hair oil I actually bought in Primark, I was at the till when I saw it so just picked it up to give it a go. It was £2.50 and the brand 'hask'. I'd seen a few bloggers and youtubers mention this brand before so was surprised to see it in good old Primark. I used it a couple of times but the past month i've been using it every time I've washed my hair, you only need a small amount as you can see I've only used half the bottle and it is a tiny bottle! Since using this my hair has been soo much softer and feels in much better condition. My hair has also grown a bit, not much but it has only been a month and for ages my hair has been at the stage where it just stopped growing so i'm excited to carry on using this and hopefully get some more growth!

Longer hair! Shall I do an outfit post? I'm sure you're all gagging to know where I got this from
So the last one of my favourites is this eyeshadow brush from Ecotools. I've been using this loads to apply my base colour and it's just a lovely soft brush and the perfect size. I often find some brushes a bit too big but this is a great size so i've been loving using this!

So that's it for my March favourites, hopefully I will get round to doing an April favourites next month! What has been your favourite product from March?
